Architect: Madeleine Blanchfield Architects
Builder: Bellevarde Constructions
Location: Tamarama, Sydney NSW
System: Geothermal Exchange System with Vertical Ground Heat Exchanger
Capacity: 60kW
Project Brief/Scope:
CWL Group have been engaged to provide an efficient and environmentally-friendly heating and cooling system for an energy-conscious client, successfully navigating such project challenges as:
The limited site-footprint and council noise constraints made ground-source heating and cooling the obvious choice. However this also presented challenges in terms of executing the necessary drilling for the installation of the vertical ground heat exchanger.
CWL Group drew upon decades of experience to strategically plan the loop installation, which was completed successfully ahead of schedule and paves the way for the rest of the project to be completed with similar levels of success. Upon completion, the Tamarama project will be an impressive blueprint on how ground-source heating and cooling can revolutionise residential properties, regardless of site-impediments that others may deem insurmountable.
