Project brief/scope:
CWL Group provided an alternative solution to conventional heating and cooling systems for an energy-conscious client with site-specific governing factors such as:
A cost-effective, efficient geothermal exchange heating and cooling system was designed and installed by CWL Group to overcome site limitations using a combination of water to water ground source heat pumps and packaged water to air-ground source heat pumps coupled with a horizontal ground heat exchanger installed in an adjacent cow paddock. Inevitable mains power supply upgrade to the new build was avoided due to higher equipment COP (coefficient of performance) and was designed to fit within the existing power supply parameters resulting in considerable overall construction cost savings. Two years on, and the homeowner is enjoying a comfortable and efficient heating and cooling system with minimum maintenance.
